Dr Turk graduated from the Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2012 before heading to the US to continue his training, where he did his internal medicine residency and continued with the cardiology fellowship at Baystate Medical Center � UMMS. It was during the first year of residency when his interest in heart failure sparked and received the right mentorship to delve into the world of mechanical support. Following cardiology, he was accepted in St. Luke's Mid America Heart Institute MKC for the accredited Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant fellowship, where he was able to learn more about the world of transplant and consolidate his experience with mechanical support as well as exercise hemodynamics, following which he decided to return to Jordan with the goals of applying his knowledge for the establishment and maintenance of a dedicated heart failure hub.
